It is when you regard someone so high
higher than anyone can ever reach
the deepest of despairs come
along with sorrow and grief
but it’s not like you were unaware of the outcome yourself
deep down in your heart, you knew you will get wounded
despite all the vows and promises
the silk veil of warmth and affection
you could see through the lies and deception
but you chose to stay
and still, you cared so deep
ready to mount the stairs so steep
now that the veil is lifted
and you can see what was hidden behind it
why do you still care so deeply
are you still hoping for the impossible to happen
how many more heartbreaks would it take
for you to realize that its nothing but a big lie

But hoping, “he said,” is how the impossible can be possible after all.
